Train communication network (TCN)

WTB gateway

The WTB bus (Wire Train Bus) is a basic building block of communication between cars within the train communication network (TCN). It ensures interoperability between different cars (according to IEC61375-1).

The uniqueness of the AMiT WTB node solution (also known as gateway) lies in the simultaneous connection of up to 3 types of local communications within one vehicle:

  • MVB (Multifunction Vehicle Bus)
  • CAN
  • Ethernet

The WTB, MVB lines are duplicated, the Ethernet is connected with a robust M12 connector, and the CAN bus enables chained connection.

The WTB gateway AMiT is available in two versions – as a compact (stand-alone device) or modular (card into the bathtub). The modular solution is based on the van concept of the superior RAVA control system , which enables a redundant solution at the level of the WTB gateway and the power source, which significantly increases the reliability and functionality of the communication node.

  • compact and modular WTB gateway design
  • WTB gateway with simultaneous connection of up to 3 interfaces
  • WTB interface with doubled line
  • inputs/outputs via WTB
  • Ethernet 100 Mb/s via M12 connection
